Battle System
Yes! We have one! There will be actual winners to a battle instead of someone getting bored enough to just give up!
Here's how it works. You've got 3 stats
Reiatsu
Strength
Speed
Reiatsu is what you use to fight, so every time you do something you use up a little bit of reiatsu. The more powerful the technique, the more reiatsu used. Pretty simple.
Strength is how hard you hit or how much you can lift. It's also effects how much damage you take from an attack that you get hit with head on.
Speed is how fast you can move. Again, pretty simple.
Here's where you really need to start paying attention to how things work
You will have a certain amount of hit points for your character. It will be generated by adding strength and reiatsu divided by 10, rounded up. As you can see, the more strength and reiatsu you have the more HP you will have.
The speed of your attacks is determined by strength+ 1/2 speed.
The way you take damage is pretty simple. If someone's striking speed is faster than your ability to dodge or parry (an equal striking speed) you get hit. In addition to the normal reiatsu reductions listed in the the stats explained, you take damage equal to difference between yours and the persons strength.
